Nasal pore packing is a medical procedure
used to stop nosebleeds. To apply pressure to the bleeding vessel and halt the
bleeding, it entails inserting a piece of material resembling a tampon into the
nasal cavity. The anterior and posterior kinds of nasal pore packing exist. In
contrast to posterior nasal packing, which places a packing material closer to
the back of the throat and deeper into the nasal cavity, anterior nasal packing
includes placing a packing material into the front portion of the nasal cavity.
If you frequently bleed from the nose or have a medical condition like a
bleeding disorder that makes you bleed excessively, you may need nasal pore
packing.
